Why You Should Attend
Step away from the noise and come back to yourself.
Over four days in the Texas Hill Country, you’ll slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what matters. Through gentle movement (Somatic and Vinyasa yoga), time outdoors, and grounded workshops, you’ll build simple practices that give you more time, more rest, and more room to breathe—long after you go home.
We’ll also hold a 24-hour period of silence to quiet the mind and reset your nervous system. You’ll be fully supported with clear guidelines, silent badges, and opt-out options if needed.
Meals are fruit- and veggie-forward and easy on digestion and we will have hydration stations and an herbal tea bar to keep things gentle and nourishing.

The Quiet Day: 24 Hours of Intentional Silence
One of the most unique parts of The Intentional Pause Retreat is our Quiet Day — a full 24 hours of intentional silence. This isn’t about restriction. It’s about creating rare space for yourself to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most.
Why Silence? In everyday life, noise is constant. Phones, conversations, responsibilities… they never stop. Intentional silence gives you the chance to reset your body and nervous system, clear away mental clutter, and release the pressure of always responding.
What to Expect: The Quiet Day isn’t “sitting in silence.” It’s a guided, supported experience with meaningful activities to keep you grounded: Gentle silent yoga & movement | Journaling prompts for reflection | Silent nature hike | Creative projects | A closing ritual before breaking the silence together
The Transformation: You’ll leave this day feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to yourself than you’ve been in years. And you’ll also gain tools to carry moments of silence into everyday life.
Nourishment for Mind, Body, and Digestion
At this retreat, every meal is designed with your whole well-being in mind.
Our nutritionist-guided menu features simple, seasonal dishes that are easy to digest yet still delicious, satisfying, and deeply nourishing. Just as you’ll be giving your mind and body a pause from the noise of daily life, your digestive system will also get the same gentle rest. Imagine warm soups, roasted vegetables, tender grains, and fresh fruit prepared in ways that comfort and restore — foods that leave you feeling light, clear, and fully satiated without the heaviness that often follows a meal.
We won’t be serving alcohol, processed foods, or anything that puts extra strain on the body. Instead, every bite is part of the reset you’ve been craving.
Think of it as a weekend where your meals are taken care of, your body feels supported, and you don’t have to think about planning, cooking, or cleaning. You’ll leave not only rested in mind and spirit, but also with a body that feels calmer, clearer, and rebalanced from the inside out.
You’ll receive the full meal plan before attending, and if there are special drinks or snacks you love, you’re welcome to bring them along to make your experience even more supportive.
Your Retreat Hosts
Grace and Bea are dedicated to helping women reconnect with their bodies, minds, and inner joy. With a combined expertise in somatic yoga, myofascial release, and mindfulness, they bring a holistic approach to every retreat.
Meet Grace: Grace teaches a lively, sweaty, and FUN class emphasizing living your life fully and not taking yourself too seriously. Her classes will challenge you, focus on alignment, and emphasize building strength. Grace's yoga journey began in 2000 by attending a yoga class on a whim thinking it would be a boring hour of breathing and stretching. Instead she found herself challenged - body, mind and soul. Instantly addicted, she has been practicing ever since. In 2006, Grace started teaching and spreading the yoga joy! Grace spent her childhood in Houston and has been living in Sugar Land since 2004. She lives with her husband and is a mother to two boys. Her original career path was climbing the corporate ladder in the field of human resources for over 15 years, and after having children, Grace decided to take her passion to the next level and opened Awakened Yoga Studio in Sugar Land in early 2010. It's been a passionate whirlwind ever since! Grace has completed trainings with a variety of teachers including Tiffany Cruikshank, Jason Crandell, Baron Baptiste, and Ana Forest. Her primary style of teaching is power vinyasa flow but she's been known to teach anything from restorative to Ashtanga! She has also been leading teacher trainings since 2011. "Believe in something big. Your life is worth a noble motive." - Walter Anderson
Meet Bea: Bea earned her 200-hour yoga certification from Awakened Yoga in 2018. Since then, she has continued her yoga teacher training in both Partner Yoga and Somatic Yoga. Bea's classes range from stretchy flows to relaxing somactic yoga offering a space for students to connect with their bodies.

Wellness Retreat FAQ's
Can I share a room with a friend?
If you have a roommate you’d like to share accommodations with, be sure to clearly indicate that when you register for your retreat- and if the room structure allows it, it will happen. Otherwise roommates are selected randomly in shared rooms (trust us- you will love everyone you meet!).
Are your retreats for women only?
Yes. This retreat is for women only.
Is daily housekeeping included?
Ahhhh the joys of someone else doing the dirty work! While we do not provide daily room cleaning service- we do take care of all the meals outlined in your program and NO DISH DUTY for you!
Can I bring my service animal?
Well now this is just difficult to say…but no. Sadly our host location is an animal free area, including service animals. As a note Retreat Ranch also has a very strict no outside animals policy due to their free roaming horses.
What if I have diet restrictions?
All meals will be gluten free and allergy friendly. If you have diet restrictions outside of this, let us know so we can see if we can accommodate you (usually- we can 🙂 ).
What is your cancellation policy?
Yikes – NOOOOO say it ain’t so! Ok, ya, we get it. Life happens. You can gift it to someone else if you would like (they are transferrable). However, due to the financial commitments made upon your registration (such as securing accommodations and services), we offer the following cancellation terms:
If you need to cancel, you will receive a refund minus $500 if your cancellation is made by November 7th, 2025. Unfortunately, cancellations after this date are non-refundable.
You are welcome to transfer your spot to someone else if you're unable to attend. Additionally, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your security and financial protection.
We hope you'll still be able to join us for this amazing experience!
Who are your retreats suitable for?
If you are reading this far- it is definitely suitable for YOU. Our retreats are designed for women who want to come connect to other like minded women- and to themselves. Many of our guests find peace, growth, ridiculous laughter and fun, healing and nourishment of the mind & body. COME.
What do I bring?
Yourself. That is really it. Ya, we will send you a packing list a couple weeks ahead of time, but really, the main thing you need to worry about is bringing you- all of you.
What are the ages of the attendees?
So here is the thing; we never look ahead of time as we don’t want to censor our age demographic- because there is NO age on love and our desire to serve whomever comes. However, to give you an idea our guests are as young as 18 to 89……PS- if you are over 89- COME, we need you!
I hear there are wild animals.
Well, yes, there is wildlife on the ranch (which we adore). We have many deer, some fox, lots of squirrels and the nature of the area tells us there are snakes (among other friends to be sure). They are more afraid of us, then we are of them so be aware of your surroundings and maybe not try to shake paws with any of them. Please note: we have lots of cedar trees on the property, which for some can cause allergy like symptoms for a couple of days.
Do I really need Travel insurance?
Well yes, absolutely. And it is for your protection- not only for travel related issues, but for any unexpected illnesses, emergencies or other reasons you cannot attend the retreat. We don’t ask for proof, but it is recommended. You can consider using one of the below options or any that you feel comfortable with.
