Aerial yoga is like regular yoga but in a soft hammock suspended from the ceiling. Doing aerial yoga will give you a whole new experience with traditional yoga poses or adaptations of yoga poses using the hammock for support.
Aerial Yoga takes the gravity out of your practice so you can fly. In each class, the instructor will give you safety rules and help you adjust your silk to the correct height for your body size and skill level. Classes are small (no larger than 7 students) to allow for individual instruction. You will need your yoga mat for class. During an aerial yoga class you will be safely led through simple stretches and basic yoga poses that use the hammocks or silks to deepen your poses. Once you are warmed up, classes will include total body strengthening and deeper stretching. Classes will end with restorative poses to decompress joints and to allow for deep relaxation.
Aerial Strength - This class is a great way to build muscular and core strength. You will flow and fly in the hammocks using it as a tool to strengthen arms, core, back and legs. Appropriate for all levels. Beginner's welcome.
Aerial Flex - This WARM, slow paced class is designed for beginners or anyone interested in learning how to use the hammocks to increase flexibility or mobility of their joints. The PERFECT class for runners and cyclists. Appropriate for all levels.
Kids Aerial (ages 6+) - this is a specialized class for kids ages 8+ to build strength, balance, and of course have fun! Girls & boys welcome.
Reservations are strongly recommended as they often sell out (particularly kids classes). To reserve a class, please click on our Class Schedule page and click the "Sign Up" button to register. Classes are an additional charge (see below).
Preparing for Class:
Arrive at least 15 minutes before class to ensure you have time to get adjusted for your silk and complete paperwork. Bring your yoga mat as part of this class starts on your mat. You MUST remove all jewelry (rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. to prevent tearing the silk or getting caught in the silks). Kids yoga classes are specialized classes focused on teaching kids this ancient practice. Just like adults, kids live in a world filled often over stimulated with information, social pressure, and activity overload. Teaching yoga to kids offers them a way to mindfully handle all that life offers to them in a healthy and relaxing way.
How Yoga Helps Kids:
Studies show that yoga and mindfulness decreases anxiety and increases happiness. Kids yoga keeps kids bodies safe - flexible bodies tend to get injured less. Breath awareness help kids to calm themselves, kid athletes to perform better, and children to become more self aware.
These classes teach kids traditional yoga while incorporating fun games, occasional crafts and activities. Appropriate for kids ages 4+.
Kids learn muscle control, build total body strength and of course have fun hanging upside down in the hammocks. Girls and boys welcome! This is limited to children ages 6 and up. Class reservations required. Any reservation cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of the class for a refund. No shows will be charged.

Chair yoga is a practice that is supportive and beneficial to individuals who have limited mobility. This class will benefit seniors, those recovering from injuries, yogis with arthritis, or any other mobility issues. You’ll connect with your breath, stretch, strengthen, improve range of motion, and reduce stress. Open to all yogis and all levels. This class is limited to 10 people. If you are recovering from injuries, please make sure you have been cleared to exercise.
