Meet Kendal - Our Community Manager

Meet Kendal! Back in January, Kendal accepted the position of Community Manager at the studio! Her main job is to grow our Awakened Yoga community and to make sure our yogis have an OM-azing experience here. She's also a certified aromatherapist (she got our certification in 2018) and she's sharing some of her expertise in a workshop on Saturday, March 26 called Hello Spring! We asked her some random questions to get to know her better:

Q: What’s your favorite yoga pose and why?

A: Wheel. I love this particular backbend because not only is it an amazing chest opener (heart chakra) it is also a beneficial shoulder stretch and helps spinal flexibility. I have spinal arthritis and broad shoulders so this often feels like the best stretch there is.

Q: Besides yoga, what do you do to unwind, relax or just have fun?

A: As of lately, I have been really into puzzles while listening to my favorite true crime podcast. I do a mini spa night once a week at home. I love spending time outside, cooking, and I've been known to tinker around with some different crafts.

Q: Chocolate or vanilla?

A: Swirl! But if I had to choose, chocolate.

Q: If you could go anywhere on your next vacation, where would you go?

A: I would love to visit Belize again.

Q: What would your superhero power be?

A: Levitation.

Q: Favorite thing to eat.

A: Sushi and pizza!

Q: Something you don’t like that everyone else seems to like.

A: Spending time on my phone.

Q: Three things that are necessities in your life for happiness and health.

A: Boundaries, balance, and community.

Q: What is something you think everyone should try at least once.

A: Travel outside of the home environment or where you grew up. Whether it be a road trip out of town, a trip out of state, or a journey out of country, just GO. It is life changing.

Q: Any other fun facts we should know about you?

A: I have been dabbling around in building my own brand since 2017. 😊
