Kids Yoga ClassesCome play yoga with us! Yoga classes for kids encourage children to explore and discover the mind and body in FUN ways. We’ll slither like snakes, grow tall like trees, and fly like airplanes! Yoga for kids uses interactive games, stories, and other play-like activities to stimulate the imagination, get their bodies moving and having a great time! Through yoga, kids move to improve flexibility, balance, and strength. Kids will learn relaxation and breathing techniques to help them calm the mind, learn concentration and focus, and develop inner confidence! Open to children ages 5 to 12. Date/Time: - meets Sundays 1:30 to 2:30pm starting October 2nd! Price: $18/class or purchase a 5 class pass for $70 starting October 2nd! No pre-registration required |

Pranayama & Meditation Workshop
Breath = Life!
Yogis measure their life span not by the number of days, but by the number of breaths.
Pranayama is the practice of building your breath to control and nurture life force.
This workshop will focus on practicing different forms of pranayama and starting or enhancing ameditation practice. Guided meditation and guided pranayama exercises will be included in the workshop.

Prenatal Yoga At Awakened Yoga Studio in Sugar Land!Prenatal yoga is an excellent way to remain flexible, stay in shape, and reduce stress during pregnancy. You’ll also learn to breathe and relax to help your through the physical demands of pregnancy and child birth! Our classes will lead you safely through a yoga practice and you’ll leave feeling stretched out, stronger, and relaxed! Our classes are appropriate for all stages of pregnancy but please check with your doctor prior to taking classes. This class meets twice a week. Dates: Tuesday/Thursday evenings 6:30 – 7:45pm February 21 – March 15, 2012 Price: $120 for 8 classes Class size is limited. No makeup sessions are available however, participants may take another regularly scheduled class during the 4 week session to make up for missed classes or within one year if you deliver during the 4 week session |

Want to teach yoga? Have you wanted to deepen your practice, learn yoga poses in depth, and learn yoga’s rich history and traditions? Awakened Yoga Studio along with Happy Belly Studios present a 200-hour Yoga Alliance approved yoga teacher training program! Awakened Yoga Studio is a Yoga Alliance approved Registered Yoga School (RYS).
Program curriculum includes:
- Learning to motivate and inspire your students and begin practice-teaching immediately.
- The theory and practice of asana (poses), including assists, adjustments, alignment and modifications.
- Study of the anatomy and the benefits of yoga to our bodies.
- The theory and practice of pranayama and meditation practice.
- The elements of the subtle body such as the nadis, chakras and meridians.
- Yoga philosophy and history as imparted in the Yoga Sutras of Pantanjali.
- The history and philosophy of the various styles of yoga.
- Business of yoga and becoming a teacher in your community.
- Program requires reading and homework assignments, regular yoga practice at the studio, and teaching intership at the studio (or another approved studio).
Upon completion of the program, you will receive materials to apply for a Registered Yoga Teacher Certification with the Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level!

Program Dates:
3 Intensive Long Weekends:
- January 27 – 29, 2012
- February 24 – 26, 2012
- March 30 – April 1, 2012 (out of town within driving distance)
All dates must be attended to complete the program. Any one-on-one training for the program to make-up hours requires an additional fee of $75/hour. Approximate times for long weekends:
- Friday 7am to 10pm
- Saturday 7am to 10pm
- Sunday 7am to 6pm
- Final weekend will include driving to off site location Thursday evening.
- Homework and a teaching internship is required at the studio or other approved studio.
Program Fees:
$50 application fee (applied towards your tuition)
$450 deposit to hold your spot (applied towards your tuition)
$2400 tuition early registration by November 15, 2010
$2600 tuition regular price (must be paid a minimum of two weeks prior to the first day of training)

We’ll safely guide you into conquering your fear and entering these poses! You’ll learn how to build strength to stand on your hands. Pre-requisites include some previous yoga experience and a playful attitude!

40 Days Personal Revolution!
Make Your New Year’s Resolution a Personal Revolution!
The 40-day Personal Revolution is just under six weeks of yoga, meditation, diet, personal growth, and community focused on either making dramatic changes in your life or small positive shifts towards growth. This is not a strict, dogmatic regime, but a guided process that you intuitively follow to integrate yoga into your daily life.
This program is based upon Baron Baptiste’s book, 40 Day to Personal Revolution. Baron Baptiste is an inspiring teacher who challenges us to transform more than your body but your mind and soul. Tapping ancient wisdom and his own personal experience, Baron has created a relevant and completely practical program that will lead you to the clarity of mind, body, and spirit that awaits on the other side of your revolution.
Program Details:
Dates: Monday, 1/16/12 through Friday, 2/24/12. Orientation on Sunday, 1/15/12, 5:45 – 6:45pm.
Price: $249 OR for $99 for Auto Renew clients PLUS participants who successfully complete the program (meet the minimum requirements) will receive $30 “account credit” towards a yoga package OR $40 “account credit” towards a regular price retail item at the studio. For participants who have a yoga package (other than auto renew clients), your package will be “frozen” during the 40 days and re-activated 2/25/12. Previous 40-Dayers price: $25 to cover the journal and meetings. You cover your own yoga classes (not eligible for account credit unless you pay the full price). Make the commitment again!
Program price includes:
- Baron Baptiste’s book: 40 Day to Personal Revolution
- Journal for documenting your yoga practice, meditation, diet, and daily thoughts
- 40 days of unlimited yoga
- Weekly meeting/workshop including meditation, pranayama workshop, nutrition workshop and more PLUS checking in to provide motivation and support to other “40-dayers”
- $30 credit towards a yoga package or $40 towards retail items if minimum requirements are met**
Your commitment during the 40 days:
Yoga Practice – a minimum of 6 days a week – we suggest 4 days a week at the studio and 2 days a week at home (an average of 4 days a week at the studio is required for the account credit at the end of the program)
Meditation – twice daily meditation – ideally, morning and evening. This begins with 5 minutes and will increase to 30 minutes.
Diet – daily recording of your food intake and gradual change/additions to your diet. You will use the book as a guide to designing a diet that meets your own personal needs.
Fruit Cleanse (unless you have a medical reason not to fast) – during the 4th week of the program, we will complete a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse the body as a gentle detoxification.
Personal Journal – each week will present personal excavation questions to root out limiting beliefs and patterns in your life. These personal reflections are for your own growth and will not be shared with the rest of the community (unless you want to).
Weekly Meeting/Workshop – we will check in each week on Sundays 5:45 – 6:45pm at the studio to support each other, discuss goals for the next week and share any learnings from the previous week. In addition – mini-workshops on meditation, pranayama, nutrition and more will be provided. (a minimum of 4 meetings must be attended for the account credit at the end of the program)
Note that once this program begins, it is not refundable and not transferable. If you miss a meditation or a yoga class, don’t give up and honor your original commitment and come back to the program. It is a deep commitment to yourself and is not for everyone. Make the commitment and all that it takes to keep that commitment.
**Minimum requirements for account credit: Completion of program, an average of 4 days/week practice at the studio, attendance at a minimum of 4 weekly meetings, documentation of diet and meditation practice.
