It’s not just about the physical yoga.  Oh – you’ll get a workout if you want it – no worries there.  But our hope is that you’ll get more – stuff happens underneath and inside.  You’ll grow, you’ll heal, and you’ll release.  And if you do it enough, you’ll have a pretty rockin’ bootie as well.

We opened our doors in late April 2010.  You’ll find us in Sugar Land Town Square located at Highway 59 and Highway 6.  Our studio is in the shopping area close to Z Gallerie and Chipotle Mexican Grill.   There is plenty of FREE parking behind our studio – please use our back door!  We have restrooms, changing rooms, and a fully equipped shower.  Our beautiful studio uses recycled, natural, energy efficient and eco-friendly products as much as possible to ease our impact on the environment.  To contact us, email info@awakenedyogastudio.com plenty of parking behind the studioor call 281.491.0221.

 Yoga practice

The Practice

Think yoga is about bending yourself into a pretzel?  Think again… at Awakened Yoga Studio, we bring yoga to everybody.  Whether you’re a beginner and think a down dog is a sad puppy or an experienced yogi who can bend yourself into a pretzel, you’ll find a home at our studio.   In every class you will go to your own edge – stretching not just your body, but your mind and your spirit to your own limits.  We offer multiple types of yoga – check our schedule page for descriptions of the classes:

  • Ashtanga Yoga
  • Gentle Yoga
  • Power Yoga
  • Traditional Hatha Yoga
  • Vinyasa Yoga 

Are group lessons not your thing?  Try a private or semi-private lesson.  You’ll receive individual attention, get specific adjustments, all at your own pace.   Contact the studio directly to get more information or book an appointment.
